Contemporary managers in business and organisations must be digital and data savvy. They should possess a working knowledge of the twofold (enabling and hindering) role of digitalization and datafication. They must be able to perform their work and solve problems using a variety of computer tools and make data-driven decisions.
This module offers you the opportunity to acquire these critical understandings and skills, with a particular emphasis on practical learning.
Module learning outcomes
- Demonstrate understanding of the advantages and drawbacks of digitalization and datafication in today鈥檚 organisations around the globe, hence the importance of digital and data literacy for managers
- Obtain a working knowledge of a broad range of concepts and theories around digitalization and datafication in organisations
- Develop a variety of fundamental digital skills required from managers by using various state-of-the-art computer and online tools
- Form effective data-driven business decisions by structuring reliable and ethical datasets, performing valid data analysis, and communicating the results with different audiences
