707How long does it take for IT Services to set up a computing account for me?
Students
Computing accounts are set up for all new students a couple of weeks before your course starts. Most students are offered the option to register with the university online before you arrive on campus. Details on how to register are sent to you in an email before the term starts.
Staff
Staff and students who are not eligible for online registration, should collect their computing account from the IT Service Desk which is located in Shawcross. Please bring your staff card, or student registration card, as identification. Your computing account details, including username and password, will normally be set up for you immediately.
The Service Desk is open:-
Term time: weekdays from 9:00am to 7:00pm
Vacation: weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
