Dr Xiangming (Tommy) Tao Awarded the Prestigious Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship

We are delighted to announce that , Lecturer at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the 海角社区 Business School, has received the esteemed at the North American Case Research Association’s 66th Annual Meeting in Florida last month.
The PRL Fellowship is a distinguished global recognition, honouring Early Career Researchers with outstanding contributions and potential in case research, writing, and teaching. Established in 2015 by the , fewer than 10 PRL Fellowships are awarded globally each year, underscoring the competitive nature and significance of this honour.
Reflecting on the achievement, Dr Tao said:
“The PRL Fellowship validates my passion for case research, writing, and teaching and serves as a stepping stone toward creating meaningful content for the academic community. It’s an invaluable opportunity to learn, grow, and exchange insights with fellow educators and students.”
Dr Tao was also awarded the from the Case Centre in September 2023, recognizing potential and excellence in case writing—a vital tool for experiential learning in business education. Notably, one of his teaching cases is featured in the textbook ‘’ (3rd edition, September 2021, SAGE Publications), highlighting his contribution to business education resources. He added:
