An example of an access card activation point
As part of ongoing maintenance and upgrades on our SALTO access card system, we have recently issued a system update for all access cards on campus.
To issue this update, we need all staff and students with SALTO access cards to simply tap an activation point at your earliest convenience, which will automatically update your card.
There are numerous activation points all over campus, and if you regularly use your card to enter your building then it has most likely updated already.
If you are unsure, then please tap an activation point before Friday 1 December, as your card may not work correctly without this update, and you may not be able to access your building or office.
All access card readers on main building entrances are activation points, and additional points are signposted around campus where available. Even if you don’t have access to a building, or if the building is open during working hours (e.g. teaching space buildings), tapping the reader will still update your card.
If you are a student resident living on campus, more information will be sent to you via e-mail.
If you have any questions, please contact the Service Centre at ServiceCentre@sef.fm. More information on SALTO access cards is available on the SEF website.
